Q. How do I find out how many tickets I have?

A. Call 866-353-7151 Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and say “get information” when prompted by the automated voice response system, or do it online by entering your license plate number and state here.

Q. How or where do I pay for my parking tickets?

A. There are several options. You can:

  • By Internet: Pay a Parking Ticket Online.
    Secure payments can be made with MasterCard, VISA, or Discover (subject to convenience fee) 24-hours per day, 7-days per week.
  • By Phone: Call toll free 866-353-7151 to pay with MasterCard, VISA, or Discover using an automated voice response system (subject to convenience fee) 24-hours per day, 7 days per week using the automated payment and information system.
  • By Mail: Make check or money order payable to: Pittsburgh Parking Court. Write the ticket number and license plate number of the ticketed vehicle on your check or money order (to avoid delays that could result in late fees). Mail the ticket and your payment to:
  • Pittsburgh Parking Court, P.O. Box 640, Pittsburgh, PA 15230-0640. Your cancelled check is your receipt. DO NOT mail cash or credit card information as payment.
  • In Person: Pay in person using cash, check or MasterCard, VISA, or Discover at the Pittsburgh Parking Court located at 240 Fourth Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh. Cashiering hours are:
    - Monday through Friday - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Q. How do I go about contesting a ticket?

A. If you choose to contest a ticket, you must schedule a court hearing within twenty (20) days of the Date of Issue. Please visit Pittsburgh Parking Court for more information. You can also schedule a hearing online. Please see the Homepage

Q. I paid my ticket by Pay-By-Phone. How do I know if my payment went through?

A. Call Parking Court at 866-353-7151, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and say "get information" when prompted by the automated voice response system. The operator has access to the payment records.

Q. There has been a car parked on my street for weeks without plates. What do I do to get it removed?

A. You can report the vehicle as abandoned by calling the 311 Response Center at 412-255-2621.

Q. I utilize the Parking Authority metered lots pretty often. I noticed that the signs say, "Head in Parking Only." What is the reason for that?

A. That rule is in accordance with City of Pittsburgh Ordinance #545.03 which states "…All vehicles shall be parked head-in unless otherwise posted…"

Out of Service Parking Meters

If you need to have parking meters taken out of service for special events or construction purposes, please contact the enforcement division at 412-560-2521 for information. You will be faxed a form requesting the address, number of spaces, meter numbers and the duration of the scheduled outage. There is a per meter charge for this service.
